What is Pump.fun?
Also known as: pumpfun, pump dot fun
A Solana launchpad that lets anyone create a tradable memecoin in seconds using a bonding-curve model with no upfront liquidity.
Pump.fun is a Solana-based launchpad that removed almost all friction from launching a token. Instead of seeding a liquidity pool, a new coin trades against a bonding curve — price rises deterministically as people buy. Once the curve fills (the token "graduates"), liquidity migrates to a DEX like Raydium.
The model made memecoin creation accessible to non-developers and triggered an explosion of daily launches. The trade-off is extreme noise: thousands of tokens launch daily and the overwhelming majority fail within hours. Standing out requires strong branding, a credible website, and fast community building at launch.
Competing launchpads (LetsBonk, Moonshot, four.meme on BNB Chain) use similar curve mechanics with different fee structures and graduation thresholds.
